As an economist (with additional skills in information and decision support systems and in open and distance learning, and a former student of ESSEC in addition to his studies at the Faculty of Economics and Management), Georges Bertrand is naturally a permanent consultant, working freelance or in partnership with various firms. He has senior administrative experience, having been head of the statistics and studies division, then number 1 technical advisor to Cameroon's Ministry of Higher Education. From there he left to become Director of the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) at Douala University.
