Kate O'Donnell
Kate has previously worked in UNICEF as a consultant focusing on social protection and child poverty with a particular focus on analysis and advocacy around universal child benefits and the importance of linking humanitarian assistance and social protection. Prior to this Kate was part of a large-scale research project run by the UN Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights which focused on the issue of non-take-up of social protection rights. Kate has also worked for a number of years as a policy analyst in the Irish Ministry for Social Protection, the children and families unit with a strong focus on designing income supports for children and single parent households. Kate holds a Msc. in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University and a BA in History and Politics from University College Dublin.
